At SVAJAN, community means more than bringing people together. It also means coming together to help others.Over the years, SVAJAN members, families, and friends have supported meaningful charitable and humanitarian causes through fundraising, community partnerships, and hands-on service. From supporting children in need of life-saving medical care to empowering people with disabilities and helping neighbors facing hunger, we believe that even small acts of service can make a meaningful difference.
Empowering Through Music & Sport
Supporting Visually Impaired Artists, Blind Cricket & Children with Disabilities
SVAJAN was proud to support a special musical concert featuring the visually impaired Samarthanam Sisters and the Sunadha Blind Band Team.
The initiative celebrated the remarkable talents of visually impaired artists while also supporting blind cricket and educational opportunities for 3,000 children with disabilities.
Through music, sport, and community participation, the evening was a celebration of talent, determination, inclusion, and opportunity.
Giving Children the Gift of Life
Supporting Free Pediatric Heart Surgeries
SVAJAN was honored to support “Third Innings,” an initiative championed by legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar, to help provide free pediatric heart surgeries for children in need.
The special luncheon and fundraiser brought the community together with Sunil Gavaskar and included a live auction of sports memorabilia in support of this life-changing cause.
For a child and family facing serious heart disease, access to surgery can mean an entirely new future. SVAJAN was proud to help bring our community together in support of that mission.
Serving Our Neighbors
Supporting Elijah’s Promise & Local Hunger Relief
Giving back also means caring for those in need within our own community.
SVAJAN members and families have supported Elijah’s Promise and other local hunger-relief efforts through food drives, soup-kitchen activities, and donations.
Our members have also gathered to assemble utensil bundles for donation, transforming SVAJAN community events into opportunities for hands-on service.
These simple projects allow adults, seniors, and younger generations to work side by side and experience the joy of helping others.

Reaching Beyond Our Community
Nepal Disaster Relief & Humanitarian Support
When devastating natural disasters affect communities far from home, SVAJAN believes our compassion should reach across borders.
Following the devastating earthquake in Nepal, SVAJAN came together to support disaster-relief fundraising efforts, collecting over $5000 to extend support to people and families affected by the tragedy.
Over the years, SVAJAN has continued this spirit of service through disaster relief, food and clothing drives, health initiatives, COVID-19 relief efforts, and other humanitarian causes.
